Continuer vos achatsHere's something new. Pinterest shared their 2021 Trend Predictions, and we are shook that the long-lasting open floor plan idea might be finally slowing down. Since March of 2020, we have been strapped with having to improvise. Improvising in that open space, none the less. We took it upon ourselves to create home offices, homework stations, exercise rooms, etc. We did it to have a piece of mind…a little bit of sanity and privacy.
So, when we look at the “More Door” idea from, as Pinterest calls it, it makes total sense. We want more walls, more doors, more dedicated spaces for activities we had never done in our homes pre-pandemic (oh, those were the days).
All good trends come back around and we are seeing some old school trends are returning. Searches for home libraries are up 7x. Bookcase dividers are an easy way to bridge open floor plans, and these searches are soaring 150% in search increases. It makes perfect sense. Why didn't we think of it...oh wait...
Ameriwood Home isn't behind on this trend. We have been creating flex-living items for several years. You know, desks that match living room or bedroom collections. Or coffee tables that have a lifting feature to double as a workstation. It's been on our minds for a while. Now's our time to shine! Here’s a quick list of just some of the items we have that can work in new dedicated spaces!
There are so many more options to explore, and you can bet that there are more great collections coming as the year unfolds. Check out our "New Products" section and subscribe to the newsletter at the bottom of the page to learn about all of our new items.
